Sadie and Chase!

We were so blessed to be a part of this special wedding. Sadie was one of our Faces of 2008, and worked as my assistant before heading off to school to become a photographer. It was my priviledge to capture her lasting images at one of our most favorite weddings of all time. Special Occasions designed the stunning floral arrangements; and The Cake Stand in McKinney created a beautiful and delicious cake. Sadie and Chase are a truly beautful couple and so much fun!!! Garrett - America's Next Top Model!

Garrett will be competing at the Model and Talent Expo in Dallas later this month. Last year, he took top honors and hopes to go for the gold this time! We loved working with him as he updated his portfolio. The Buckle helped pull together the perfect look with the blue and white shirts in the first image. We had a great time and look forward to hearing what the scouts and judges think!

Jordan

Jordan just had his hair cut by Patrick, at Garrett Patton Salon. All dressed up for a meeting, I asked if we could do a quick photo shoot! I love how these turned out!! I promised the scoop on a great new hair product for those who need volume and texture - it's called Dust It. It was demonstrated to us at Garrett Patton Salon when our Faces of 2010 went for a visit last week. It is amazing! Stop in for a demo and tell them we sent you!

Purrfect Pet Portraits Are In Full Swing!

Dexter was a perfect angel, contrary to his Halloween costume! We had so much fun with him! There is still time to book a session - we have a few openings left for Friday and Saturday!

Purrfect Pet Portraits!

Our daughter, Samantha, loves animals! She has been wanting to do something for her community this year. She came up with this special event idea for the studio! We will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Arfhouse Care-for-Life Canine Shelter. http://www.arfhouse.com/ Martha and her staff do a wonderful job with the animals they love and care for. They are one of the largest no-kill shelters in the country. We are so happy to be able to help with their work! Sessions are available for $25 per pet + 3 cans of Alpo or Pedigree dog food. This food is for the senior animals at Arfhouse who can no longer eat dry food. We hope you will call for an appointment today!

Chelsea and Blake!

Chelsea and Blake had the most perfect couples session on their wedding day in the tower room of Willowood Chapel in Bells. This image was taken on the spiral staircase. We had a blast and loved sharing their special day. Chelsea was one of our Faces of 2008 Senior Models, so it was amazing to work with her again.

Amelia!

I really enjoyed working with Amelia this week! She is already working on a world-class vocabulary and has a terrific personality. We had so much fun watching her dance and hearing "her take" on things!

Wedding Day!

We had a wonderful time with Krista and Brian on their special day. It was filled with friends and family and fun!

My New Do!

Garrett Patton cut my hair on Monday! The shortest it has been since the eighth grade. I absolutely love it and the confused glances as people see me this week and take a moment to recognize me - that's been fun. Samantha, my youngest daughter captured an image this evening for me to share.

One Perfect Day. . .

Sometimes the stars align perfectly and everything goes exactly right in every way. Saturday was one of those days. Rusty and Vickie chose to be married at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and we had the honor of capturing the day for them to remember. They and their children were so delightful, the weather was amazing, the cake from the Cake Stand in McKinney was so yummy, and brunch afterward was the perfect finishing touch. We loved

You just never know what you may find in a wheat field in Howe, TX. Victoria was just minding her own business, checking our light levels, being the trusty assistant that she is. . .she never saw it coming! JK, she is REALLY good at photoshop!

Great Restauant on the Square in McKinney!

I really wish that the Blue Door were still here. I used to love their Salmon Crusted with Horseradish. My oldest daughter worked there as a waitress and we all miss Das and Shanta so much. The selection of unique, memorable meals in Sherman has definitely been reduced significantly.

In the quest for a new spot, we headed to McKinney to try something different. Our friend, Jared Tredway, had recommended a spot on the square called La Misha. We had an amazing meal filled with Mediterranean delights such as roasted lamb, a wonderful salad and selection of olives, spreads and warm, fresh bread. The food was fabulous, service attentive, and we were treated to a terrific assortment of luscious desserts at the conclusion of our feast. Done with our meal, we strolled the square, window shopped, and listened to some great live music spilling out of another restaurant. Samantha's Portraits!

My youngest daughter wants to be a photographer like Mom when she grows up. It is the highest compliment a parent can receive for a child to want to be like them. We recently took a trip to the Arboretum and Sam borrowed my camera while I took a nap on the grass. It was a perfect day, complete with a picnic from Central Market. These are two of the images that she returned with. I love how we can both look at the same field of tulips and see them completely differently. She is amazingly creative and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. I want to be a photographer like Sam when I grow up. I'll keep you posted on how that's going. . .

We had a great Girl's Nite Out!

Thanks to all of our friends who came out to support our 3rd Annual Girl's Nite Out event! We had so much fun, ate way too much yummy food and most importantly gathered a lot of wonderful new and gently used clothing for the Women's Crisis Center. Thank you to our artists: Joni Beamish, Hannah Brinker, Carol Davis and Adrienne Howell. Without your creativity to inspire and delight us the world would be a very dull place indeed!

Ashley's Maternity Session

These are two of the beautiful images that we created for Ashley and Larry. We had a wonderful time with them and can't wait to meet their newest family member. We have done a ton of maternity sessions lately! It has been a blast to get to know these amazing couples and share in their excitement.

Our Faces are Going Places!

This image of one of our Faces of 2009 was chosen by our lab as part of their national marketing campaign! We are gearing up for lots of senior sessions in the next few months. An unplanned winter break!

We have been given a gift today! Our usual schedules are interrupted, school is cancelled, and we have the opportunity to do something we didn't have planned! Today, I will bake cookies, play board games, and hang out with my kids with no where to go, no appointments to keep, no deadlines looming. I am excited!!

And We're Back!!

After a wonderful 10 days at PPA's Imaging USA in sunny Scottsdale, AZ (80 degrees yesterday, sigh!) filled with inspiring teachers and great images, we are back at the studio and ready to rock! Toni and Jeff have a beautiful family, don't they? We really enjoyed working with them and I love this image that Toni chose!

This is the convention of the year for Professional Photographers of America. Ann Geddes will be the keynote speaker! We will be taking lots of great classes and seeing all of the latest and greatest trends in photography. Then we come home and show them to you in beautiful images of your family.
